Thistle House is located on the doorstep of Gros Morne National Park, and is conveniently located for exploration of all park activities, while still close to services in Deer Lake. The house is equipped with everything one would need for a relaxing stay. It is clean, comfortable and homey. Stacey is a wonderful and communicative host, and she rescued our vacation when our planned rental at a different property canceled due to water issues just 2 hours before we were to check in. The home is new with many upgrades (cabinets, flooring, bathrooms, appliances, mattresses, bedding, etc.) and it was beautifully decorated. The owner supplied it with everything you could think of including everything you could need in the kitchen plus people and doggie treats. It far exceeded our expectations. The owner also was outstanding in answering all our questions thoroughly, promptly, and in a very friendly manner. Our four night stay at The Thistle House was the highlight of our trip.
