The Cabin
Gorgeous scenery and location. A little difficult to get there (pay attention to the description provided by the listing - 4WD and chains on tires are required to get there in the winter.) House was well stocked and we enjoyed the hot tub.

Beautiful views - House needs serious TLC and repair
Our stay was ok but the house needs A LOT of attention..it is VERY well used and rundown. There are A LOT of stains on the carpets and furniture and the house is very very well used. Upon arrival we found the cover of the hot tub completely caved in and barely any water in the hot tub at all. The decks are in need of SERIOUS repair and are a safety hazard. I DO NOT recommend allowing children out there unattended or even adults for that matter. SO UNSAFE! We arrived to find a very large puddle of water on the kitchen floor along with multiple kitchen cabinet doors loose and hanging off the hinges and notified the host immediately with videos and pictures and also noted the other issues regarding the hot tub issues. I sent the email within 30 minutes of arriving (Saturday at 5:30PM) and didn't receive any sort of response until 3 days later (Tuesday at 12:31PM). I want to note that we explained in the emails that we would clean up the leak and were just sending the emails with all the pictures and videos to show the condition of the house when we arrived accept for the hot tub, which needed servicing due to the caved in cover, lack of water and chemicals in order for us to us it. We ended up fixing the hot tub ourselves. The house could be a very comfortable stay if some heavy TLC was put in, a VERY deep clean and the broken, worn items were repaired. Washing machine only 1/2 works (agitator doesn't move). Host only responds during M-F bus. hours and no holidays.

Great overall, with one note
Overall great place! Beautiful, remote, and comfortable. It was a comfortable main area and the bedrooms were all nice. The listing is accurate and I would recommend it overall. My one note that guests should be aware of is that the kitchen is not very well equipped. There was no olive oil or even salt at the house, so be sure you bring *everything* you will need. The knives were dull, and there was only one cutting board. All of the pans were nonstick - there was nothing heavy-duty if that's what you need. On the plus side, there were two ovens. But if you keep that in mind, and plan accordingly, then you will have a great stay.
