"Handy for Plymouth City"
A really good sized room and comfortable twin queen beds. Easy to park, near local food outlets. Restaurant on site but we didn''t use it so can't comment. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, not clear whether you could add this once you got there as limited information. No room service menu provided in the room so had to ask at reception for it.

"superb views (normally)"
Having stayed here before I knew what to expect. It is after all a small privately run hotel on the edge of Dartmoor, and has all the charm and views you would expect. This time the weather was foul and seeing acros the car park was the lmit of the view, but even then the hotel has a friendly way of making you feel comfortable. Being a single traveller I expect a smaller room and just wish it wasn't always so much smaller.

"Friendly B&B"
Used this B&B as visited Plymouth Uni Open day the following day. Met quickly at the door on arrival. Expected a Twin Room but the B&B had been told by Expedia we needed a Double!! Quickly rectified as was given a larger room which had two single beds we could use. Very clean room. Nicely presented furnishings. Did not give excellent for all elements as the mattress collapsed on sitting on the bed, after a good nights sleep. The wooden slats had come out of the side plastic holders. This I am sure will be quickly remedied by owners as they were really lovely and helpful. We enjoyed the full breakfast and my daughter had a vegan cooked breakfast. Loved the atmosphere and appearance of the breakfast room. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

"Close to city centre could walk to everywhere."
Very nice hotel, full of character, we were able to keep car parked at the hotel, possibly not if in the height of the season. Great room top floor, but with sea views so very pleased with this. Only a few issues, bed could have had a top sheet, and there were no spare pillows or blankets, room was cold heating didn't work, and as we stayed for 2 nights (24th-25th April) weather wasn't great. Different biscuits would have been nice, or even a mini bar, it looks like the rooms at the top are bigger as we were next to the main suite, so make your guests feel a bit more special. In the hotel you can buy Plymouth tea, it might have been nice to have had them in the room to try!! Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for the city centre.

"Good central location"
Driving into the city centre is not nice as the SATNAV can't give enough time to sort out the route. The hotel car park has limited capacity, but this is a problem of limited space in the city centre for anything bigger, and it is awkward to get to. However, the central location is very convenient for walking to shops, restaurants and the waterfront - better in future to go by rail as the station is within walking distance. As we were celebrating a wedding anniversary the hotel did not let us down, with good meals etc, especially at the price we got the room for. There was a problem with the toilet cistern valve not stopping, but this did not keep us awake, only was a waste of (clean!) water; they promised to fix it as soon as the room would be free

Jurys Inn Plymouth

50 Exeter Street, Plymouth - Map
Decent 'chain type' hotel. Good location for the historic area - fitted in a half hour walk round the Barbican before breakfast. Room had all the required facilities and comfortable bed, but a bit tatty eg torn bed base. Staff were helpful, but minor irritation that they didn't pre-authorise card for room service (although I had asked if there was room service) so I had to take a couple of phone calls during the evening about that. Breakfast was standard buffet (plenty of choice but usual hot food sitting in containers for a while, scrambled eggs particularly suffer in those conditions!). But better than waiting for waiter service if you are short of time. Would probably stay there again if going to Plymouth for work.
