"First time staying at Shinola; it was like a 5 star resort in an urban setting. The entire complex is laid out so well! There are multiple restaurants, bars, shops, walkways….. it feels like you’ve left the hotel, but you haven’t even left the block it’s on. The rooms are nearly soundproof and you can blast the stereo (yes, they put big Bluetooth speakers in each room) without bothering your neighbors….. we tried it and stood outside the door, couldn’t hear a thing! I don’t ever want to stay at another hotel in Detroit."
