The hotel was good enough but in need of some refurbishment and not really close to downtown. Staff generally very pleasant. Restaurant good and relatively good value. The Fisher Building almost next door is worth a visit if architecture is your interest. Because our flight was cancelled we couldn't get there on our first night and the hotel refunded the whole day's tariff.
My husband and I loved our stay at the Inn on Ferry Street. Location location location! Many things we were wanting to see were within walking distance of the hotel. It was very safe and clean. Our room was rather small which would be my only complaint. The breakfast was declicuous and above expectations. Also the free shuttle service around town was amazing. We would defiantly come back for a stay at the Inn on Ferry Street.
Detroit’s metro area is home to nearly six million people. Downtown Detroit has undergone extensive urban renewal in the last 15 years. The 982-acre Belle Isle Park is a popular destination. Sports are big in the Motor City. The Detroit Tigers play baseball at Comerica Park, the Detroit Lions (football) are at Ford Field, and the Detroit Red Wings (hockey) are at Joe Louis Arena.
