"The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags."

"Absolutely loved our 3 night stay during May half term with our two daughters aged 8 and 11. The cottage is small as expected, but very charming and well equipped. We loved the seclusion and amazing views of the mountains and Ullswater. The girls loved watching the red squirrels and walking amongst the sheep. "I have been to Greystoke before and I have always loved the place. But this was my first time at this property. I had to work for the first couple days during our stay. The whole experience revolved around access to hot water. I was late to work because there was no hot water.
