My wife had recently been in hospital and we were not sure how she would be. We need not have worried, the staff, ALL staff could not have done more to look after her. The Bathroom was decorated beautifully but the shower was only a hand held over the bath tap connection type with no hook to stand it on so you had to hold it and no shower curtain so water ended up everywhere. My husband is tall 6ft 4 and was too tall for the shower, and had to bend down to miss the ceiling. Limited room to place clothing so the floor ended up being our wardrobe. The room was not generous in size so we were jumping clothes piles. Breakfast was ok but croissants very dry. Staff lovely and accomodating but limited information given at all times. No milk in room. Signs saying if you want extra milk ask( not on those stairs).Noisy at night as work being done on the kitchen and lighting bright until 2.30 am.Bedding stain but unsure if via wash process. Good location for Ullswater in centre of Pooley Bridge. Onsite restaurant had good varied menu and full breakfast options were delicious. Comfortable bed and onsite parking.
