Hotels in Paraíso, Mérida from CA $62

The best time to visit Paraíso, Yucatán, Mexico, is during the dry season, which runs from November to April, specifically in January and February.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 30°C, with lower humidity and minimal rainfall. This makes it ideal for exploring the ancient Mayan ruins, swimming in cenotes, and enjoying the beautiful beaches without the intense heat and humidity of the summer months or the risk of hurricanes. The evenings are also comfortably cool, superb for al fresco dining.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the consistently sunny weather for beach days and outdoor activities. The cooler temperatures make exploring the archaeological sites, like Chichen Itza or Uxmal, much more enjoyable, allowing for a more relaxed and extensive visit. Many resorts offer outdoor dining experiences that are particularly pleasant in the dry, mild evenings.

For families, January and February offer excellent conditions for all sorts of activities. The calm seas are superb for swimming and snorkelling, and the comfortable weather means children can spend longer periods outdoors without becoming overtired from the heat.
