"We had a lovely time here, this is a beautifully designed home with big sliding doors out to the pool and beach and sweet courtyard beside the stunning staircase ! The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable. The wind can be very loud in some of the rooms. The kitchen was large, lovely and easy to use, pots were good, lots of tupperwear, knives adequate and lots of cutlery, but not a lot of mixing bowls etc. and not well stocked with food basics. Good to note - there is only a bar to sit at inside with the large table out on the deck - but the wind can make it hard to be outside in the afternoon/evening. The pool was lovely and clean, with lots of natural vegetation, and such a great view of the beach! Also a sweet spot down closer to the beach with a little area and climber for kids to play. It is farther down from the 'beach towns', but close to a little fishing village, with a few fun place to eat nearby. "

"The hotel was perfect location and generally clean and comfortable. My only issue was that on the first night we did not have water. We informed the front desk and she was not helpful and asked to try again in 30 mins. "

"The first day of course was great .’ Not sure how old is this property … but I for sure recommended..understand about how every hotel considers themselves a good hotel.’ For and stayed for 7 nights The price is good👍 like $45 per night thru Expedia.. the hotel is clean, swimming pool clean and property very nice The continental breakfast is included it but is very very few items The employees were very nice . "Los cuartos son muy bonitos (pero extrañé las batas y las pantuflas que daban antes). Usamos el gimnasio que está muy bien equipado. El staff de front desk es muy amable y servicial. Pero debo felicitar al Ingeniero que me ayudó a tener una mejor velocidad de internet en mi laptop (y no estuvo fácil por un problema en mi laptop!!) Gracias!!"

"This place is so unique and beautiful but there were also so many small annoyances. Our rating reflects the disparity between our expectations booking a boutique resort that touts offering a luxury experience (at a much higher than average price point for the area) and the actual experience we had. Pros: The grounds are beautiful and appear as shown in the photos. The staff is polite, friendly, and attentive. The theming of the resort is unique with elements including the rooms themselves designed to mimic bird’s nests as also reflected in the name of the restaurant (Nido is nest in Spanish), and the naming of each room after a local bird. K’u also means nest in the Mayan language. The design blends nicely into the local environment. The food that we had from the restaurant was good with the chef and kitchen staff at dinner doing a particularly good job with the food and presentation. The cleanliness of the rooms and facilities was generally very good with exceptions noted below. Cons: Here we will itemize our long list of small annoyances. Extra costs: There is a “no external food or drink” policy at the resort. Onsite food and drink costs that were considerably higher than average. The drinks in particular were expensive. If you bring outside alcohol the resort charges a $500 peso uncorking fee to have it on property. It should also be noted that my husband’s coffee was consistently brought to him at room temperature.
