Was not clear the access to beach club was 30 mins driving, the hotel is not in the water, however is a walkable distance

My husband and I and our 2 teens 18 & 16 stayed here for 10 nights. We had a wonderful relaxing time. We definitely recommend this place. Costco is 35 minutes away and so many other store so close to get all you need.

We enjoyed our brief time in Chicxulub, experiencing the beach and wharf culture was very nice. Sunsets are beautiful on this beach. Unfortunately our time was cut short there as we moved into Progreso proper where we also liked the area.
The beach, wharf and Malecom is wonderful! So happy we visited here.
Not a place for sunbathing or swimming. A couple good restaurants and lots of lower end goods to buy

This town is popular with domestic tourists so it’s a nice change from the big resort towns on the Caribbean side. The weekend we were there was busy but the beach was covered in seaweed which made it fairly unpleasant to walk.
Progreso is an awesome place to visit as the beaches are clean, it is probably the safest place in all Mexico, and the people are very friendly.
