Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

8/10 Good
"The breakfast was excellent, good variety and very polite staff that kept it constantly topped up. The hotel also had a grab and go which had coffee, food and snacks until 10 at night. The location made it easy to get around. It was walkable to pier 39 , fisherman’s wharf sign and lots more . There was a tram stop and 2 bus stops nearby. Bus 28 takes you to the bridge and then you can get back on and go to the park. Our room was on a cross road which made it very noisy at night, loud cars constantly driving up and down, the tram and lots of other noise which of course isn’t the hotels fault , it’s just because it is so near to the front. There are quite a lot of homeless in the city and they are often around the fire pits at the hotel but we never had a problem with them."

Handlery Union Square Hotel

Handlery Union Square Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Excellent location, charming early 1900’s classic vibe, very clean, cozy and the staff are really extra nice. We’ll definitely be back. Close public parking garage for $38/day if you don’t need the car or $43/day if you need in/out parking. This is much less than typical downtown SF hotel valet parking. Great restaurants all over the area too!"

"No place to park. All full. Handicapped and had to be creative or park in back of another lot next to employees. Otherwise decent for a drop in."

"Rooms are nice and clean. Coffee sop on site and there’s fire pits, a giant chess board, hammocks, pools, tennis courts and a golf course. So much to do, we will definitely be back."

Chancellor Hotel on Union Square

Chancellor Hotel on Union Square

"This is a hidden gem! We were somewhat leery booking this property because the price was $150 for the night. What we experienced was a great boutique style hotel. The room was smaller but had a large walk in closet, which you don’t see in hotels. This allowed us to put luggage in there and made the room feel bigger. Highly recommend staying here!"

La Bahia Hotel and Spa

La Bahia Hotel and Spa

10/10 Excellent
"We booked our stay through Expedia, expecting a room with a balcony and an ocean view. Unfortunately, our dining experience at the High Tide restaurant was disappointing. From the hostess who seated us to the uncomfortable low seating at our table, everything felt subpar. The food had no flavor at all, especially when compared to their sister property, Bernardus, in Carmel Valley—there’s simply no comparison. On a positive note, the pool and staff at the hotel were excellent and very accommodating. However, while the room was decent, it did not justify the additional price we were charged for our two-night stay."
