Good

I love this place, and any time I travel to Newcastle, it’s where I’d book again. Stayed there twice now, once for 3 nights and once for two nights. The rooms are are great, the staff is amazingly helpful and super friendly, and the whole place has a great vibe. Plus it’s great being down on the quayside in mornings and evenings

Great location, clean and tidy, helpful staff, plenty of parking and only 10mins walk from Metro for easy access to Newcastle city centre.

Great location and really nice, spacious and clean rooms. This was a great place to stay for exploring Newcastle and also very comfortable and cozy. Staff are excellent too, and the free morning coffee and croissant are a nice perk!

Location was perfect. Overall staff were lovely and helpful. Nice atmosphere in the bar, although the evening menu is limited if you just want something light. Had some issues with house keeping. Replaced 2 large and 2 small towels with one of each. It took 2 days to remedy (I used my packed beach towel). Close to downtown with amenities such as grocery stores, and restaurants close by. I would happily stay again.

Loved room 4 the Quality , Decor was beautiful, the spaciousness felt like home . Loved the heated floor in the bathroom , the bath and shower . The beds were comfortable and the curtains and blinds made the room perfect for sleeping . The building , gardens are beautiful and well groomed . The club house breakfasts presented good variety , the quality of the food was good...

Booked the 2 bedroom so my friend and I could have our own rooms but was surprised to see an ensuite so we each had our own bathroom too. The living and dining rooms are huge. Hotel is close to the train station and all sights in town. Great for a family but also for friends needing some individual space while traveling. Staff were also helpful.

I (we) have never stayed in a castle before so randomly coming across thought why not as it was on par with staying in Durham. We stayed in the main castle rather than the wing rooms. Felt appropriately castle like. Clean. High quality establishment. Uber from the local train station (one stop from Durham) cost 5 pounds. Back to Durham in the morning from there was about 16 or so. We ate evening meal at the bar (had fish&chips, small portion fairly good quality) and a few drinks that were...
