Service was amazing. The two gentlemen that work during the day are accommodating, and efficient. Great customer service. Only takeaway I have, the homeless are pretty much on every corner especially late nights/ early mornings

HOTEL Perfect for 2 nights as a solo female traveller. V.comfortable bed, I slept very well. There is an office building immediately next to the windows (view directly into their break room/ a couple of office floors) The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful & accommodating. There is free luggage storage for early arrivals & late departures. Conveniently close to the subway. TAXI SERVICE: Awful experience that left me scared, in tears & almost missed my flight as a result. The hotel staff kindly booked me a taxi to the airport for my departure. So the hotel staff side of things was great! The taxi service itself was scary. Upon arriving at the Terminal drop off at airport the driver said they only take cash. I was not told this upon booking. The driver could not speak English so we were having difficulty communicating that I only have card. They started driving away from the terminal saying they would find an ATM for me to take cash out. They took me around Queens side streets for 40 mins as most were closed (it was Sunday) & I was panicking. Ended up going to a Walgreens ATM, I was scared to leave my luggage so they gave me their car keys to go in & take out money. I came back to the car very upset, scared & worried I'd miss my flight. I called the hotel from the car in tears & they said they should absolutely accept card & this has never happened before.The hotel kindly refunded my destination fee. The scary & unprofessional taxi service they use should be avoided!

We spent several nights here for a conference, and I booked one additional night myself thru Expedia to do some touristy things beforehand. We had one of the better views overlooking the street, so we were not as bothered by thin walls or views of fire escapes as some of my conference attendees were. It's New York City, so cramped quarters should be expected. It's stylish with a monochromatic color scheme, but is it "upscale"? That might be a bit of a stretch. Be aware there is no food of any kind available in the hotel (but myriad options within walking distance), and it seemed strange to me that coffee is not served until 7:30, when many guests have already left for whatever they're doing. Maybe that's normal here. The TVs are large but it takes forever for them to "find" channels, so if you're in a rush to check the weather or local news, fughettaboutit! However, staff were very professional, and that includes housekeeping, who attend to your room daily -- that seems rare these days! The bed was comfortable and they provide plenty of towels. Overall we enjoyed our stay and spent most of our time outside the hotel anyway. There are many things to see, do, eat and drink in lower Manhattan.
