"Overall, the hotel was solid. Great location, clean and a nice room. I was disappointed there was no coffeemaker in the room and I had to pay a daily “resort fee” when this was New York. I wasn’t going to lounge around the hotel (like a sunny, seaside hotel in Hawaii). "

"Dark rooms with poor lighting. The only light in the room flickered. Rug was wet in some areas. I arrived less than 30 minutes before check in and they refused to let me check in a few minutes early. They also have hourly rates for rooms which was not something mentioned on their site. "

"This hotel is in an area that’s gonna give you the real New York , Brooklyn experience . This is not the upper east side , that being said we enjoyed our stay and walked around at night and felt ok about it . The hotel itself was clean and had good beds and soft pillows which I enjoyed , the rooms have no safe , the size of the room is decent , the staff was helpful. Loud at times especially on the weekends as there is a club bar downstairs that’s part of the hotel. You’ll smell pot at times , patrons are mixed between a few locals but mostly tourist types . I would say that u would stay here again, I thought the price was fair and about the only thing I really didn’t like was the subways take a while to get into Manhattan but on the other hand there were delis all around and a supermarket down the street by the name of food bazaar that’s now open 24 hours ."

"Kitchen sink was leaking everywhere, bathroom sink hardly drained so we couldnt really use it, bed was made but looks like it was just thrown together, room cards took a while to get it to work because instructions arent clear, when we arrived to check in the checkin person wasnt at all professional and kinda just stood there when we arrived and didnt say anything. Then when we were like “can we check in?” She was like “you are already checked in” and ww were like “no we aren’t, we just got here” and she was like “your all checked in?” And we were like “no, we arent” and she was like “ah ok” and then she walked away and went down the hall. We just stood there confused and eventually she came back and checked us in. Just not at all professional and felt like we weren’t supposed to be there. "

"Great room, if a little small. Staff really helpful, especially the chap who looked after our luggage and arranged our transfer to JFK with no fuss."
