Great location on sea coast
Apartment / villa 300m from hotel, was OK, and overlooked the sea, with balcony views and aircon. Parking remains an issue in this area, but motorbikes were safe on the main road.

The view and the little apartment were cute but dusty & ants. We were also deceived by the distance of our room. Located 2 block away, we had to walk 300ft while carrying all our luggages there. Table outside and floor were dusty my sock were black despite they claimed that the room had previous guests. However during our two days there, we had no hot water! They attempted to fix it while my kids were sleeping in the bedroom, they used a ladder and coming in multiple times, which invaded our privacy. I had been waiting 35 years to bring my kids to my hometown, and this experience cast a dark cloud over it. They offered us the option to shower in one of the employee bedrooms, which left me feeling embarrassed. Finally, when I contacted Expedia, they were able to arrange another room for us where we could shower suddenly. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time, imagine having 2 walk back and forth 2 the hotel, and they wouldn't answer their phone because the lady at the reception also worked in their restaurant. For 2 days, the 3 of us couldn't shower, and the compensation from the hotel was 3 days of free parking (5€) and half breakfasts, which was inadequate. Furthermore, they had put away the breakfast by 11am, so I didn't even have a chance 2 avail it. The owner could have offered us lunch for the 3 of us, no…The prkg was free bc it holiday in France, they fooled me again. They lied also about the hot water bc that happen last year. I have more 2 write but no space left

Dear Ms Johnson Suraiya,We acknowledge that your experience with us has not been the best and we would like to express how deeply sorry we are for not having been able to perform to the best of your expectations.We would like to address some the points in your comment.The apartments are situated 300 m from the hotel and this description is quite precise over at the tour-operator websites. For more information our direct link is available at hotelreinedazur.com. And the same goes for the breakfast schedule.The lack of hot water during your stay has been caused by a boiler malfunction, which could not have been foreseen, and the right piece was not immediately available to repair it. As an emergency solution we suggested for your family to use a shower at the hotel. It was not ideal, but it was the best we could do with the hotel booked up.As a gesture, breakfast was offered to your family. We do not have other meals served; therefore, a more ample option was not possible.Furthermore, we offered you the use of the parking card for the duration of your stay.It was erroneous for you to suppose that the parking was free during your stay because of the festivities. The calendar can prove you wrong.Finally, the last night of your stay was refunded even if you announced your departure at the last moment. If you feel like a bigger compensation is due, we would like to underline that you however had some use of the apartment in question, and we need to receive some compensation for that as well, in order to invest it in the improvement and repairs of the equipment. Again, we deeply regret that you were not able to take the whole advantage of the apartment with the veranda and the terrace, which has plenty of space inside, is completely renovated and is usually greatly appreciated for its view and position.You and your family are welcome back any time you decide to visit our area again.Kind regards,The Hotel Reine d'Azur team

Do not stay here, horrible staff.
It was easy to get into our room as we arrived late and reception was closed. In the morning I could not log into my computer. I asked Charlotte for help. She says no speak English, wifi working its your phone. I pulled up google translate as there was a language barrier. She refuses to help me. I leave and then come back stating it wants a code. She types in the code and says see you have wifi. I ask for the code and she gives me a paper. Now mind you Charlotte does not speak English. Fast forward two days of being miserable in a room with no air conditioning and no circulation. It was muggy all of our clothes were damp. We tryed opening the window but my friend got bite all over. The reception staff was no help. On our last day Charlotte was speaking English and needed to settle a tab. I said you dont speak English I will wait for the lady who does. Charlotte says I speak English and has a whole conversation with hard words two days after she needed google translation. It was amazing. Needless to say this place is not worth your time or money. Worst experience I have had in all my travels. I do not recommend this place.

It was not mentioned that you had to bring your own bed linen and towels! We had to rent some on arrival and it was expensive!!! The owner was really friendly and welcoming but very disappointed with overall organization and place. The agency managing the place was useless and not helpful. They didn’t inform the owner of our arrival despite receiving the confirmation that our payment was received by them.

Solid hotel at a very nice location. Everything worked great (heat, shower), and the bed was very comfortable. It seems very well kept up. It is kind of small for American standards, but that did not borher me.

4 night stay. The 1st night we found ourselves in a very sub-standard, tiny boxroom but thereafter we had a lovely room with a balcony and the sea on our doorstep. Lovely staff and a special thanks to Sophie for her good humoured assistance. Better than a 2 Star... and highly recommended.

Very very very poor breakfast served not before 8am (so poor it could be one of those charity breakfast organised once a month in the streets for homeless) NEVER experienced in my 47 years old life a hotel serving breakfast that late, so early risers this hotel is not for you. From my 4 days stay they refunded 3 breakfast charges because during holidays I love to get up early to make the most of my day, damp room, extremely tiny bathroom and the A/C in my room barely produced cool air in my room, till it completely broke (very old A/C). They opened the adjacent communicating room so I could use the A/C working in the other room. Now I understood why this hotel had a room for me for 4 nights right in the middle of the super high season while every other hotel in the surroundings was fully booked.

Dear Customer, I remember that you did not look as unhappy as I read now. The Continental Breakfast is served from 8 am to 10 am, and you wanted to take it anyway. it costs 8€ and we serve fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, fruits, fruits salad, cakes, cheese, yoghurt, hot and cold drinks, that is not a poor breakfast. Your AC was working perfectly during your stay except the night before your depature, and we opened for you the dependance so you could enjoy it. Late cancellation happen all the time, this is the reason why you found a place in our hotel. You cannot affirm that this is for another reason. We did everything we could to give you a pleasant stay. Hopefully, we have happy guests that show the quality of our service. Regards

More than adequate hotel
We were expecting a lot less for a 2 star hotel but were pleasantly surprised. Although simple rooms, they were clean and had everything we needed. The staff were on hand to help whenever we needed it and we really enjoyed the restaurant food which again was simple but done well! Had a lovely time overall and would definitely stay there again!

Run from this place!
Worst hotel experience of my life and I have been an active traveler for over 20 years. To make a long story short, the hotel cut off the water at about 10pm. They were fixing something and had no idea how long the repair would take. That means we had to go to bed without a shower or brushing teeth which is a first for everyone in my family. No refund or discount was offered. Luckily, the water came back at some point in the middle of the night so we were able to shower in the morning before checking out. This was a huge disappointment. The room was old, musty, and not very clean. The one positive thing was the area. It's right on the beach, lots of nearby restaurants for dinner and a short drive to both Italy and Monaco.

horrible experience with a person tried to steal..
We stayed only one night at this hotel in September. Someone tried to get in our room at 3 am while we were sleeping probably to steal something. We were so stressed and shocked that I am still very upset when i remember for my staying at this hotel. We don't know who the guy was but we think he was someone from the hotel staff. My advise to all is not to go there for any reason. I would never ever go back to this hotel.

A nice surprise
We just needed a hotel for 1 night at the end of a walking holiday. We wanted somewhere convenient for getting back to Nice Airport. This hotel was perfect for our needs as it was 200m from Carnoles station (30 mins into Nice), right on the sea front and close to restaurants and shops. The hotel is small but the rooms have been done very well and we enjoyed our stay.

Great spot close to Monaco with free parking around the hotel. Not much to say otherwise. Room was OK. Quiet and mostly clean. The closest had a moldy smell so don't put anything in there.

OK hotel if you have tight budget
This hotel is budget friendly but I wouldn't recommend for my friends if they are looking for low priced hotel in Menton. The bed was really not comfortable and it was not clean. There were hair on the sheets and the kitchen was not useable. The staffs were friendly but Internet was very slow.

Nice Hotel
This was a pleasant hotel in a good location on the seafront. Practically door to door for the airport bus service110! 10 min walk from the train station and 25 min walk into Menton. The resort Carnoles is very busy but it is easy to catch the train to quieter beaches and towns nearby such as Rocquebrune Cap Martin and 30 min into Nice, 10 to Monte Carlo. No sea view or balcony, so no where to dry towels or washing but a pretty lemon tree, small but clean and comfortable room.

Trevligt litet hotell med perfekt läge
Hotellet ligger på en stor gågata och i hörnet av Place Massena som är det stora torget, ett stenkast från Promenade des Anglais och även Gamla stan. Ett perfekt läge. Hotellet är litet men fräscht, rent och nytt, rummet likaså. Sängen skön duschen bra och även fast det ligger på en bullrig gågata då hör man ingenting när fönstret är stängt. Tur att det finns en väl fungerande aircondition. Tjejen i receptionen trevlig och hjälpsam. Hotellet rekommenderas.

En général, c'était bien mais le lendemain mon fils s'est réveillé avec pleins des rougeurs (piqures et boutons) un peu partout sur les jambes et ensuite sur tout le corps. Je ne sais pas si ça venait du lit, de la mer ou de la nourriture que nous avons mangé dans le restaurant attaché avec l'hôtel. En tout cas, c'était à partir du réveil dans cet hôtel et qui se présentent encore sur sa peau (soit 5 jours après)!!!Pareil pour moi. Sauf que chez moi, ils sont partis vite les rougeurs. La chasse d'eau ne s'arrêtait pas. Il fallait le forcer plusieurs fois pour qu'elle s'arrête. Il y a le restaurant dans l'hôtel qui porte le même nom mais dont le personnel nous disait que le restaurant n'a rien à avoir avec l'hôtel car j'avais demandé si je pourrais acheter du café et le prendre dans ma chambre. L'hôtel est bien situé en tout cas, en face de la plage. Il y a tout ce dont on a besoin, un bouilloire (attention pas de thé ou café), de la vaisselle etc.

Me and my friend had a nice stay at Reine d'azur! The staff was very helpful and the location great, right by the beach and close to the train station. Would stay here again if returning to Roquebrune.
