I liked that it was adult only! The shuttle system is wonderful, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes and most times the shuttle driver dropped us right in front of whichever restaurant we had booked. Of all the choices for a la carte restaurants, I was disappointed that only two would be somewhere I would go back to. The buffet was somewhat predictable and unfortunately most of the entrees were lukewarm or downright cold. Having said that we always found something to eat. The staff however were amazing! Friendly, helpful, always available if we had questions. Also Mariana at the Bahia excursion desk was outstanding. She made sure we knew exactly what to expect on each excursion we booked and we were never disappointed. The
I would like to take time out to say that Samantha who works at your property was truly a pleasure. She went above and beyond to help us with all are needs.any question we had she was able to give us an answer and she even was able to make a dinner reservation for us which was initially sold out. All of the staff was helpful but we really enjoyed Samantha and her joyful personality. I’m quite sure we’ll be back to the property in the future.
The property was very nice. Everything was clean and well put together. The only issue that we had, and it was consistent, was the dinner reservation process. If you don't book your dinner reservations for the restaurants you want when you arrive, good luck getting to them on the day of. We tried to eat around 830 or 9 pm every night, and we were told several times that two of the restaurants we wanted to eat it were unavailable. Even though, when we did show up to the restaurants at 830, they were half full. So, it was mind blowing to me that they couldnt/wouldnt get us a table for a restaurant that was half full because it was late. Also, the hot tubs in the penthouse was basically a glorified bath tub that takes forever to fill and its hard to get the temperature right. If you order drinks at the bar, you should order doubles on the liquor if you ever want to feel a buzz. The towels in the room were very crunchy (they definitely could use some fabric softener).
This resort is for senior! If you are looking to party or for night life this is not the resort for you! This resort is for people who are retired. Pools close at 6pm! Beautiful resort, but very slow and turned down. This is a resort to literally have peace and quiet.
We stayed on the adult side and it was definitely the way to go. It is much smaller and quieter. You have access to the other 3 resorts by cart, and we never waited more than 5 min for a cart. The other resorts are huge! There’s plenty to do and great shopping at the Tulum Resort location. When we arrived Pedro quickly helped us with our bags and to our room. This was no small feat as we were in a penthouse. There are NO elevators so if you struggle navigating stairs you definitely want to make that known. But Pedro carried our large luggage up no problem. The penthouse was wonderful because it had a private jacuzzi that overlooked the jungle. It was a great way to end every day!
There are many food options! If you can’t find something you like that’s on you. However you MUST book in advance and be on time! In our opinion Mikado had the best food. Sergio gave us excellent service at Mikado. Herminio was also a wonderful server. They had a champagne day at the adult pool that was so fun! We bought a bottle of Moët for $130 and it was totally worth it! It came with the setup for mimosas and aperol spritz. It also came with an extra bottle of sparkling wine. Herminio made sure our drinks were always full.
We had a couple’s massage at the Sian Ka’an spa. While the spa doesn’t have any special amenities, Sarah gave me the best massage I’ve ever had! I get massages quite often so this says a lot! My husband also loved his massage from Maria.
Oh and LOTS of beach!
Sian Ka’an is definitely not for the young. I would say about 60 years old plus. It’s VERY quiet. Like library quiet. If you’re younger, I would suggest the Tulum or Akumal resort better. There are golf cart “shuttles” available until 2 am that takes you to all 4 of the Bahía resorts. I was surprised to see how small the buffets were. Not much food to choose from. The club closed 4 years ago but was never updated on its website. Overall it’s a beautiful place but do not recommend if you’re younger. Beach has many rocks and seaweed. Hope this helps
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the Sian Ka'an resort. The food was always good. Antonio and Claudia were the highlight of our trip even throwing together a special lunch for us on our last day. We can't wait to return!!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
First the positives (note that we were travelling with 2 other couples). Entertainment, food, laundry, and bar staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful. Bahia also gets top marks for internet connectivity and food quality. However:
1)We booked transportation from the airport to the resort through the Bahia website which uses a company called "Coming2". One of our parties were left stranded at the airport and had to take a cab to the resort that cost $290 US one way. Another party arrived at the airport at 6:10 pm only to be told that the resort shuttle had left already even though the scheduled departure time was 6:40 pm. Do not use "Coming2" or book transportation through the bahia website!!
2)Making dining reservations for 6 proved next to impossible. When we showed up they had no record of our reservation. Most managed to accommodate us because we had booked later times (ie. 8pm or 8:30) and tables were available. However at the Don Pueblo restauraunt the maitre d refused to seat us unless we agreed to buy a $40US bottle of wine.
3) Rooms-No room upgrades were offered. In fact we had to take a room downgrades in order to be located away from the noisy area. Hot water, air conditioning , burnt out light bulbs and shower pressure are all issues we encountered.
4)Pool chairs- unless you reserve chairs by 8 am you will be out of luck.
5)Bahia App- hard to download.
Summary- will look to stay elsewhere next time...

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
This property is a dream, lots to do, great staff, and an abundance of options and accessibility to activities day and night.
There were some functional issues with our room related to the first room having no hot water, took three days to iron out, and the second room having a poorly operating fridge that conked into gear with a loud clang every 20-30 minutes; we plugged it out at night in order to sleep.
I would perhaps avoid airport transport with the Bahía Príncipe service as they were less than adequate in getting us to the resort, taking 80 minutes to leave airport after arriving at transfer point and taking 2.5hrs in travel for a trip that took 65 minutes in the return; I won’t get into details on the first trip as I’m sure it was an employee issue more than anything else where I was met with some of the dudes customer care I have ever endured.
I would suggest the restaurants focus more on the taste of food than the process but all in most were wonderful.
Transfers from resort to beach are consistent and quick and a great opportunity to meet your neighbours.
Buffet service is excellent. The golf course is incredible and challenging (bring extra balls!)
Drinks are plentiful, lineups are short, and the Sian Ka’an resort at the Bahía Príncipe is particularly impressive and by staying there you get access to all other amenities.
I will likely return and hopefully they can tend to the few kinks that still exist
