I was weary of some of the very few, lower reviews (because let’s face it, that’s what we tend to focus on when reading reviews), but the property and staff exceeded all expectations. The property was very clean, very modern and run like a well oiled machine.
The standout of our stay was the staff, who were all very patient and accommodating at every opportunity, including the housekeepers, bartenders (Ionela at the upstairs bar), restaurant staff, but most importantly the front desk.
Paco at the front desk, went above and beyond in helping me sort/figure out some itinerary issues (that were no one’s fault). He was patient and creative with his solutions and remembered my face when I needed to follow up the next day, which was highly appreciated. I felt taken care of.
Only minor drawback was, though the rooms were spacious, and modern, we could hear some loud talking, high heel wearing girls next door to us, through the wall. It wasn’t obnoxious, but because the floors are tiled and not carpeted, less sound is absorbed. I’m a light sleeper and it wasn’t an issue.
If you want a premium spot by the pool, claim your lounge chair with a towel early, it gets filled up. That being said, we came down to the pool late, and were still able to find chairs together, just a little further from the poolside, which was fine.
Towel deposit: it makes sense that you need to save your receipt for the deposit refund, otherwise people may steal your towels to cash them in.
