Was hoping for early check-in if available, turns out it was and very easy. Only bad thing, trash in cans wasn't at curb so we came to full cans, but able to manage. We booked this for a stay in KC with our grown children and new grandson. When we arrived, the entry ways were pretty dirty, and the place had an old house smell, but I didn't think too much of it. But once we got in the place, we realized that there were some major cleaning problems. Not only was it unclean, but it had been quite some time since it had much of a cleaning (please refer to the pictures attached). Finally, we found that the sheets were even dirty. I don't mean stained, I mean that you could literally see scale, hair, etc. from the last person who slept on them. I contacted the host and sent pictures and explained the problems. She offered to send a cleaner, which was a nice gesture, but the cleaning needed would have taken quite some time (for one, the sheets on all the beds would have needed changed). I asked for a refund and the host agreed. I have not yet received a refund and the host is not answering my messages when I try to follow up.This was a very strange experience. We have never had a problem with cleanliness on a short-stay rental.
