The room is very small, everything is rusty, the walls are worn out, in the shower the water pools and you stand in a puddle while washing, the stairs are worn out, there is no air conditioning, you sleep with an open window and it's very noisy from the street, the hairdryer doesn't work, the shower walls are not very clean, the toilet is very cramped with no room for your knees. However, the bed sheets were clean, and we asked for a hairdryer and a fan, and they provided them. They also gave us 3 packets of instant coffee, tea, and sugar. Additionally, the picture when making the reservation does not match the reality.

Absolutely filthy … 2 shocking rooms so bad we didn’t stay and looked for another hotel so we could sleep in a clean, mould free room.

This property was ridiculous. The bathroom was as small as an airplane bathroom. Clean... But ridiculously tiny. No chair to sit on in the room. Mattresses were so soft and squeeky. They didn't even bother putting a bed skirt on it. Just a very odd place to be.

Great hotel close to train station
Nice hotel very close to Paddington train station, plenty of places to eat close to hotel, clean hotel with 24 hour reception desk, has lift in hotel if you struggle with stairs, comfortable bed and great powerful shower in bathroom

The room was a very big disappointment. Having stayed on a couple of occasions I was aware the rooms were dated. This however was not as clean had stains and the smoke alarm appeared inactive.

You get what you pay for. The location is unbeatable. Between Paddington and Hyde Park. Management could do a better job of fixing easy things - carpet stains, loose bathroom fixtures etc but honestly, the room rate you pay here competes with dorm hostel rates in London. So just set your expectations.

The room was poorly maintained, clearly not maintained for a long time. It was also dirty. The mattress on the bed was completely worn out. The television did not work. The bathroom was extremely small. Finally, the room was close to machines that rattled annoyingly all day long. In this context, the price of the room was very high considering the state it was in.

Outdated.
We were in a room in the basement, which was freezing cold. No radiator - plug in radiator that didn’t work. The beds were rock hard, and there was a draft from the window. There is mould on the walls. Staff locked the front doors at 1am so we had to wait to be let in. The fire alarm then went off at 2am, no explanation as to why. Very outdated and uncomfortable.

So so the room could have been a little more attractive. There was certain that could have been cleaned, baseboards that could easily be painted and windows that allowed cold air to seep in. The front desk help was very very accommodating. Always respectful and helpful. Shower certain could have been washed as well

I know London is very expensive and you cannot expect too much for the price, but this is definitely the worst experience in a major city. At this price you might as well save some money and spend a night in a hostel. Major problems? 4 floors but lift does not work. Water is not potable Bigger problem? Staff did not mention this at check-in so had to do 2 treks, with bags and then after buying water. When asked why the staff member did not say this at check-in, he nonchalantly replied "you did not ask". Who the hell asks if water in a major first world country capital is potable or not? Of course he barely had time to be this flippant as i had interrupted his unending phone calls.

Pretty awful
Avoid if possible. Cheap, yes, but not worth it. I was genuinely afraid of touching the carpet (complete with suspicious stains) with my shoes off. Room was tiny and bore no resemblance to the photos advertised (particularly the bathroom). Bars on the windows were a charming touch. Won't be back
