This hotel is nothing short fabulous, the whole ambience and service is excellent. The location is great and I didn’t use them but the facilities were amazing including a spectacular pool, 4 floors below ground!

What I didn’t like were the following: I arrived to check in just after 3pm to be told that my room wasn’t ready so I had to wait an hour in the lobby, although they did give me a drink while I waited. When I got into the room I noticed the carpet was quite dirty, with bits of things in several areas indicating it had not been vacuumed. I was very dismayed when having a drink with a friend in the Lobby Bar where they had no “nibbles” To go with our drinks. They only had almonds served in a small bowl for which they charged £4! I was amazed at this charge as most hotels and bars provide a few crisps, or nuts, or the like as part of their service. In addition to this they charged an extra £4 as their “Service Charge”. They didn’t have any Prosecco which is what we wanted! They only served champagne and as we didn’t want that expense we opted instead for a gin and tonic each costing £16! The whole bill including a Gratuity which I felt obliged to add, for those two drinks plus a few almonds came to £51!! I couldn’t believe it. We thought the appearance of the tables in the lobby bar was spoiled by the vase on each one holding a single flower made of paper, very cheap looking and quite unattractive. At those prices I thought they could surely afford a real flower to put on each table. I complained at Reception when checking out after the two days visit, after which the very nice Receptionist deducted the bar bill from my invoice, which I much appreciated.

Hotel was lovely and staff wonderful .. but sadly this hotel misses mark on most important thing in a hotel .. the Bed .. sadly there beds are rock hard and extremely uncomfortable…
