Best Stay of Our Costa Rica Trip — Malekus Mountain Lodge This was, hands down, the best place we stayed during our 10 days in Costa Rica. Not only is the property itself beautiful, but we had the pleasure of being the only guests, so Roger and Rosy treated us like family. They helped us shape our itinerary to have a more authentic, local experience, and honestly ended up defining our whole trip. The rooms were comfortable — we had the one with a double bed plus a separate room with a bunk bed,...

Host was accommodating and caring! Close to grocery, restaurants, & most activities, by car. Chalet was comfortable with A/C, washing machine and clothesline, well-equipped kitchen, nice mattresses… and a bottle of vino tinto! A lovely stay! Highly recommend :)

The property was quiet, away from town a few minutes. The hosts were so friendly and wonderful to us. The bungalows were in very good shape and very clean. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone!

I would rate 6 stars if I could! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. And the owners really care about you, they made our stay in Huacas an unforgettable experience! Thank you so much, and see you next time!

Exactly as expected. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again. Gabriela was extremely responsive to any questions and concerns. The area is close to many beaches by walking or a quick Uber ride. Amenities nearby and the vibe of surf side is truly a great experience.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The tours were a lot of fun, the canyon is amazing, the hiking trails are very nice, with fantastic views. The food was excellent. Every single menu item we ordered was very tasty, and very nicely presented.

Perfect for a cheap stopover close to the airport.

An unforgettable stay with an incredible sunset view. From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was exceptional. Our room was extraordinary — beautifully designed, comfortable, and with a stunning view that made it feel truly special. Having our own private pool was an amazing touch and made the stay even more relaxing. The common pool area was another highlight, especially around sunset. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and watching the sun go down over the ocean from the...

The room was in grear condition and the staff came to clean it daily.

Great place to stay for peace and quiet with a beautiful view of Costa Rican rain forest and wild life. Owners were the nicest people I've met in Costa Rica. It's a more authentic and personal experience than a typical hotel, or B&B. definitely recommend.

An absolute gem of a place. It is just as rustic as the photos suggest and that’s exactly the charm. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, immaculate property, stunning gardens. Also the best night sleep of our stay in Costa Rica hands down.

Clean rooms and the breakfast was really good with a lot of variety

This place is so, so, so amazing. The hosts are absolutely exceptional human beings. This is the only place you need to stay if you visit Playa Ocotal or the surrounding areas. You will be disappointed if you choose anywhere else! This place really is magical. It's quiet, it has a great view, great pool, and the breakfast is the best I had on my vacation. I also had dinner here, it was the best meal we had hands down, with a great bottle of wine, with a view to die for. Thanks again, Flo. You...

We enjoyed having the mini kitchen, whihc had everything we needed, the view over the marina was entertaining and the pool was delightful after a day spent out touring or at the beach. the Staff was beyond friendly and very attentive to ensure everything was as it should be.

Une vue superbe, dans un coin calme. La chambre est grande avec une superbe terrasse. C’est calme et bien équipé, avec un accueil très attentionné

Just amazing! Spa out of this world! Wellness! Amazing place to visit!
