"The house was clean. All appliances in good working order. Check in was easy. Owner easy to communicate with. She even checked in with me to make sure I got home okay. She was great to work with. "Very cute, comfortable, and well put together cottage. Supplied with everything needed and some appreciated extras . Perfect location for all our hiking adventures from the south end to the north end of the park. Just 15 minutes from Bridge. Highly recommend the Bridge Walk! Hope to be back to the area with some friends and will stay at this cottage again!"

"The little house was exactly as described. It was very cute, spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and I’m picky about my bed! The train tracks are VERY close, but we enjoyed watching the trains go by. There were about 3 per night. The horns woke us but we were lulled back to sleep by the sound of the trains. The kitchen was well equipped but I suggest you bring your own spices if you plan to cook. The area is gorgeous and we were able to hike many trails throughout the park....

"We LOVED our stay! The house had everything we needed from spices in the kitchen to hot chocolate for my boys. The dog bed and dog toy were a bonus! This was our first family trip that we brought our pup with us, and I feel now he'll get to go on every vacation. The fenced in yard was great, the view from the yard/deck was wonderful. The owners gave us a bunch of recommendations from places to hike and where to eat. Everything was wonderful!"

"The home was very close to rafting, atv, bridge walk and zip lining. It was nice to be able to cross the bridge to walk to restaurants. We had 5 people and it was perfect for us. Kitchen was nicely stocked, note there were no paper products in the kitchen. House was clean and welcome bag was a nice touch! Thanks for a great base for our trip."

"Our group loved this property for our visit to New River Gorge National Park. Great location. Property has a lot of personality. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. We enjoyed the large dining room table and living room sofa, as well as the hot tub. The two king beds were super comfortable and we slept great. Thanks for a fantastic stay!"

"AMAZING! It had extra trash bags, dishwasher pods; the things you need to leave it the way you found it. The hot tub was the reason we booked this cottage. It was a welcoming spot to relax after running the 50K in town. The fire pit was a nice way to unwind upon arrival. Thank you for thinking of all the little things. This cottage had raised the bar for all of our future VBROs."

"So close to the mountain, which is exactly what we needed for our family snowboard trip. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It was spacious and comfortable. Only downside, closest grocery stores are 20ish minutes away so we survived on Dollar General and it worked out perfectly! Highly recommend you stay and experience all that Winterplace has to offer."

"I love this place right on the lake. The restaurant is amazing. Staff is very friendly. Music on the weekends just adds to your vacation. You don't have to leave to go anywhere unless you want to. Great brewery just down the road and many other places to visit. I go here at least 3 times a year and have for over 5 years now. "
