Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown

"The hotel is well situated close to downtown Austin. It is right beside highway 35 but there was limited road noise ... probably a benefit of having a room on the 16th floor. The hotel had excellent air conditioning which was very helpful given it was very hot in Austin during our stay (be aware that although there is a thermostat in your room regardless of the temperature you set the room will stay at 71 degrees ... the only option you have is either turn the system completely off or expect 71 degrees). The pool area is very pleasant with sofa's in the shade for relaxing and a number of other chaise recliners that are in the sun. We had breakfast in the Graffiti Restaurant one morning. It was just ok. (If you ordered oatmeal it only came with oat milk ... no other options.) We were told by one of the managers on Wednesday evening that there was Happy Hour scheduled in Limestone Restaurant that evening but when we arrived we were told by the attendant / bar tender that Happy Hours only happen twice a week ... Wednesday not being one of the days. The attendant kindly offered to call the manager to see if he would approve Happy Hour pricing given the mix up ... which he did BUT there were so many restrictions we left disappointed. Generally the staff were helpful and pleasant."

"Loved this hotel, we stayed nearby for a concert, the room was so comfortable, spent some time by the pool and it was enjoyable although for a weekend we expected the pool bar to stay open later, it closed at 5pm"
