Five generations have kept and expanded this ryokan from its humble beginnings as a restaurant more than a hundred and twenty years ago, traces of which can still be appreciated at the front structure of the complex. Inside you will be greeted by an always friendly staff. A long hall entirely built on wood, crosses over a pond leading visitor to the central yard of the ryokan, a beautiful garden displaying Kyushu’s pine trees and Japanese outer landscapes. At night you can enjoy delicious dinner at the room while seating over tatami and listening to the sound of waves from the nearby sea. Beautiful building, clean rooms, serene garden, enthusiastic and helping staff. Japanese breakfast and Kaiseki dinner was top-notch.
