"TLDR: great hotel, great visit, would stay again. Older but well maintained resort. Staff was extremely friendly, though a bit slow. Maybe a bit short staffed? Our ocean view room was only a partial view, but to be fair we did not pay extra for full ocean front. We had a pretty good view on the balcony, and were high enough that we could see all the way to Black Rock. Having the beach so close was wonderful, and it was not crowded. The surf wasn’t very rough except when the tide was coming in. Great views at sunset. Lanai and Molokai are clearly visible all day. Only downside was that there were no loungers on the beach, so you had to use your pool towel in the sand. We took advantage of the breakfast buffet most days. Food was fresh and plentiful though basic, and not enough fresh fruit. They did change the menu every day. It was nice to sit outside, see the ocean, and hear the waves while we ate. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night, and the food was very good, if pricey. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping is every other day, which is fine. Only complaint is very low water pressure in the shower! We did run out of body wash one day, and had to make multiple calls to get more.
