« Sweet historic vibes. Outstanding walkable location. Great outdoor space out back. Nice staff. Comfy bed. If you’re not used to noise, the property can be a bit noisy. And though we appreciate ‘historic’, the rooms lean more towards deeply outdated than ‘vintage’. We would go again for the live music and a few drinks. But probably would choose to stay somewhere a bit more off the beaten path. »

« It’s called the Belmont Hotel on all the travel sites but when you get there, they say through the phone that it’s called Vacasa. This hotel is not open when you peek inside the windows of the hotel and front desk and no one around to assist. We had numerous calls trying to get someone to help us and everyone informed us they couldn’t help us until 4 o’clock when we could use a code that would be emailed to us privately to get into the hotel. « The Captain Whidbey is such a special place to stay on Whidbey Island. It’s a charming historic property surrounded by beautiful scenery. We stayed in a king lagoon room which had a beautiful view. The only negative is the mattress was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. But the property as a whole was lovely and don’t miss out on the restaurant. We had dinner & brunch there, both of which were fantastic. »
