"If you’re after a quiet, relaxing stay, away from the usual busy resorts then this place is for you!! The apartment has everything you need and is close to everything in the village. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is modern and you have a hob and BBQ in the kitchen if you want to eat in on an evening. "This was the perfect house to spend a lovely time with our kids and friends! Villa Laguna has everything you need, and more. Great outdoor area with a big pool and an exceptional view of a golf court. We had the most amazing grill evenings outside and just a great time! "This property has a very beautiful story and Heidi was kind enough to share it with me. The owner had a dream of creating space to showcase his art and to allow other artists to come together and share theirs as well. Each house (for lack of a better word) was intended to showcase art. Heidi has turned each house into a living space for their guests that showcases many pieces of art. My place had an open concept with a kitchen, living, and dining area. "The bungalow and its grounds were spacious, well equipped for the heat, with options to have shade - very necessary when it was 33C! The pool was fantastic! We self-catered the whole of our stay - so found the kitchen to be very well equipped. Comfortable beds, sofas etc, with plenty of spare cushions, towels etc. The owner's father responded quickly to any queries we had. All in all, a lovely holiday! Thankyou, Humberto!"

"Pros - Location beautiful. Central and pretty. Interesting. Kitchen very well equipped. Comfortable. Cool even on hot day. Cons - Lots of street, bar and bridge noise sometimes all night. There was unfortunately construcion across from us but manager responded appropriately."

"This is an idyllic place to stay, away from the crowds, on a wooded hillside surrounded by nature. The hosts, Heidi and Johannes, were very welcoming. The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed. It is a short drive to Tavira, which has a good selection of cafés and restaurants and the nearby village of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo also has a small convenience store. The location is perfect, both for access to beaches and for hiking in the hills."

"Our group of 18 had an amazing time staying at the estate. The property was very clean and the kitchens were well-furnished with plenty of utensils and crockery. It is private and secluded, but just a stone's throw away from local amenities, restaurants and beaches. Fortunately, it is also in prime location for Ubers and taxis should you not have a car. Sean and Diana were both extremely accommodating and friendly, and made the booking and check-in process extremely easy. I would not hesitate to...

"Had a lovely stay in Cabanas in this traditional Portuguese house in a small town. Everything was within walking distance. Close to the boardwalk and ferry across Ria Formosa lagoon to the beach. Two wonderful terraces. Nicely decorated with artistic touches. We had a few issues that required us to contact the owner who responded immediately. Would recommend to others!"

Sehr touristisch Die Preise, voallem bei der Vermietung von Liegestphlen und Sonnenschirmen, sehr hoch. Schönstes Lokal mit angemessenen Preisen das La Cabane in Quarteira."

"We loved Armona. The house is charming however full of ants and cockroaches. The electricity kept cutting out. The standard of cleanliness was terrible. The glass shower door fell off in my hand. The host didn't leave any check in instructions and wouldn't answer the phone or messages. The number on the listing works but I got through to a very rude Spanish man who hung up on me twice after shouting at me in Spanish."

"The unit we stayed in was bright and airy, large patio doors, large windows, really distinct from conventional Portuguese builds. Loved the unit the setting was in a secure setting. The unit itself could do with more storage units for personal ware and more hooks to hang clothes, otherwise the kitchenette was well equipped, with even 2 ovens. All in all no complaints. Staff were very helpful, free bikes was a bonus."

"Booked a studio apartment last minute for 3 nights. Smart hotel, good security. Very friendly staff. Lovely pools as well as an indoor pool. Comfortable outdoor area. Spacious well equipped room, we did end up in a disabled room despite full fitness! Did feel if you were disabled there was only a shower over the bath which was quite high to get into, not a problem for us though. Had a nice meal in the lovely restaurant. Good parking. "
