Anderson Ocean Club and Spa by Oceana Resorts

"The check in process was bad. My information was lost resulting in not being notified when our room was ready. Then the check in host was less than professional in her response to the mishap. On the positive side the room was very clean and well kept with a great view of the ocean. I really enjoyed watching the sunrises on the balcony. The pools were clean and we only ran out of towels one day. This was off season so in season at this resort may be quite crowded. We have stayed at other locations in Myrtle Beach and like the pool layouts of other locations better but that is personal preference. The location is good providing walking access to most features and restaurants you could want. It also was never excessively noisy or crowded while walking. I did not use the spa so I cannot comment on that. The workout room was sufficient to get in daily workouts with enough weights to at least provide challenge if you are creative and was never busy."

"The flight to the resort was long due to a 4 hour layover in Charlotte. The property was clean but needed some maintenance work. Service was excellent and our housekeeper was great and provided us with excellent service. Overall I give it a thumbs up and recommend it to travelers wanting to enjoy the beach at Myrtle Beach."

"My trip could not have gone any better. The plane ride was amazing, extremely enjoyable! My hotel stay was excellent. I could see the resortneeded a little TLC but that may only be because I’m operating engineer. The cost of the nightlife was out of sight! There’s an additional 5% cost on all alcoholic beverages on top of the sales tax. Who knew? Now you do!"
