"Nice, helpful,and welcoming staff. The Waterfall house was in an excellent location and very spacious with nice views, quiet and separate from the other cottages. Surrounded by gardens. Staff was kind to let us check-in early .The down side: The stove did not work well and the fireplace was out of service, and the kitchen was limited regarding pots and pans and other items. Bathrooms need a good spring cleaning. "

"We were in Occidental for a music and dance weekend. The area was very lovely, surrounded by trees. The location was ideal, everything was within walking distance and although breakfast was not included, there were several cafes across the street. "The stay was fine. Room clean, comfortable room with a nice deck with ocean view, quite and relaxing stay. Disappointed here was only one small microwave in the office (for all the units to share), must ask to borrow blow-dryers, and the closet had no wooden bar or handers to hang up jackets, sweaters dresses, or shirts. Although I brought a small steamer for clothing, it was pointless. Located by shops and restaurants. "

"This is a very old property that's been nicely updated. It's a great location walkable to all of downtown Guernville. The rooms are large and beds are comfy. On the downside, you definitely hear your neighbors walking around, talking, toilets flushing and showers running. It wasn't bad enough for me not to stay there again. It's just an old building. It's also VERY pricey for what you get! "
