Hal Gharghur Vacation Packages

We had an inner room and for a busy city centre location it was SO quiet. The room and bed were comfortable, fridge and coffee maker, iron + board all provided. The 5th floor roof terrace for breakfast and complimentary snacks 6-8pm was lovely, we were disappointed we couldn’t access at other times. Staff very friendly and helpful, bus info, advice on trips etc. The breakfast included local dishes as well as cereal, fruit, eggs etc. Only downside no “ordinary” / non Maltese fresh coffee (not instant) available.

The hotel is a few streets back from the main Qawra tourist areas. The Reception area was quite dark. On approaching the hotel there's no signage to indicate where the reception desk is (on you left behind you as you walk in) I mentioned it being dark and they put a few lights on but it was still gloomy. The hotel needs modernising. It doesn't look like much has changed since it was built The room was clean the bed comfortable. There wasn't any bottled water in the room, most 4 star hotels in Malta give you a free bottle of still water. The supplied toiletries on the room were a decent quality. The toilet was so close to the wall, bigger people need to sit to the side. There were 2 unidentified red stains on the bed. Didn't look like blood. Despite our room being close to the lifts we didn't hear noise. maybe a little bit from the street outside. The indoor and outdoor pools looked ok if a little bit small. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Coffee and Scrambled eggs were great, but everything else was bad. I'd suggest going room only and going out for breakfast. There is a lack of signage. no sign pointing to reception, the indoor pool, the bar or the dining area. £85 for 1 night in late September 2026 isn't too bad for a 4 star hotel in Malta. I don't think you'd be disappointed, but there are better places to stay

We were surprised by the amenities, location, breakfast, and helpfulness of this hotel! We would recommend it to anyone wanting a wonderful place to stay while in Malta. They arranged all of our excursions and gave us helpful information. A great find!

Love this hotel! We stayed 2 nights at the start of our visit and came back for our last night in Malta. The town is small but it’s so easy to use Bolt (like Uber) to travel around to see the sites. It’s a small boutique hotel and each room is unique. Super comfortable with a lot of eclectic objects that the owner has acquired. There is a lovely plunge pool by the bar area. The breakfast was perfect. They made us porridge and a full English. The staff go above and beyond and the owners are super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Really good hotel from most aspects,clean , friendly, helpful. Breakfast was very hectic though! Only problem is the location which is somewhat remote, involves a lot of travel to get to other areas of interest
