Then when my husband checked us out, the gentleman said we wouldn’t be charged for the late checkout - we were delighted! Upon arriving home, we actually were charged. Not a huge deal, but we were a bit put off by it. "

A few minutes walk to the main attractions around Hoen Kiem Lake; for my short stay, many restaurants & plenty to do within walking distance, no need to take taxis. And it's on a small, quiet side street, less chaotic that on the main avenues. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety, tropical juices & they make you eggs to order. Staff very kind & accommodating, & many speak English."
