Loved the area and the sheep behind the in was a nice touch. 😍. Having a full English breakfast was a fab way to start the day. Wishes we stayed longer to have dinner there as well. Had a great sleep and would visit again.

YHA Grasmere is a massive, well-maintained property with a really great team of staff. The kitchen and dining areas are huge and spotless, and having plenty of showers on every floor means you never have to wait around. The rooms, showers, and toilets were all kept very clean.
Just a couple of minor maintenance issues: the light fixture above the mirror in my room didn't work, and one of the toilets took a few tries to get it to flush properly. Aside from those small quirks, everything else was...

Beautiful property and gardens. Everything was immaculate and the hosts were extremely helpful. Probably best to have a rental car as the bus service is not great in that area.
