Governador Island Vacation Packages

When we first arrived, I left my husband in the cab while I went inside to check the apartment. The apartment itself was dark but clean and comfortable. However, when I went back outside to get my husband, I became locked inside the reception area for approximately 10 minutes. There was no doorman, buzzer, or other way to contact someone for assistance, and I had no way to exit through the main entrance. This created a serious safety risk because I was trapped in an unsecured area with no reliable means of escape or communication. I eventually found a dark back door and used it to exit through what appeared to be an abandoned garage. This was also dangerous because the area was poorly lit, unfamiliar, and did not appear to be intended for guest access. In an emergency, being unable to exit safely through the main entrance could leave guests trapped or force them to use an unsafe route. The building’s access and emergency-exit arrangements should be addressed immediately.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL. We had multiple credit cards and cash stolen and used by someone who had access to all the rooms (All cards were in a wallet which was hidden in a secure location). We spoke to the front desk when it was noted and they ignored our concerns and gave us no solutions. Even tried calling once we were checked out and they turned off the call in our faces, while we were still talking. We spoke to the manager later and were told he would look into it. We are still awaiting an update from the manager. Other than the theft, still don’t recommend this hotel. Stayed at this hotel for about 6 nights, and most days the room was not very clean, the floors stayed sandy even when the beds were made. Under the bed seemed like the rooms were never cleaned. Towels were not replaced properly (never replaced the floor or face towels and were upset when we asked the right amount of towels as guests staying in room). There were 2 elevators and 1 was out of service 50% of the time we were there; making all guests wait a VERY long time to use the elevator (elevator is very small and does not fit more that 5-7 people already squeezed together) Silver lining: The breakfast buffet was delicious. Service in the breakfast are was amazing. Location: 2 minute walk from the beach and easily accessible by Ubers.
