"This is a HOSTEL, not hotel. We probably wouldn't have booked here if we would have known before. The front desk is on the first floor, the staff helps with heavy luggage. During our stay, breakfast was changed from buffet style to plates (which had to be chosen the day before)"

"This family-run guesthouse is a good half-hour walk from the train station, although there are buses every hour from 9:00 to 18:00 (6:00pm) that stop at the bottom of the hill. The establishment can sometimes pick you up or drop you off. The shared toilets and bathing facilities are clean and separated by gender, but the tired slippers at the entrance don’t seem like a very hygienic alternative to one’s own shoes… maybe we were spoiled by staying in too many business and apartment hotels and...

"101号室に宿泊しましたが6畳の和室と3ベッドの洋室（セパレートのバス、トイレに出入り可能）でとても快適でした。和室からは庭がみえ、とても落ち着いた雰囲気でした。 高山駅とさんまち（古い街並み）の中間くらいに位置しており、近くに飲食店も多く、街歩きにも最適でした。 改善点は、せっかくゆとりのあるレイアウトなので部屋の広さがわかるようweb表記して欲しいです。（中庭や和室が6畳あるのは入室して初めて確認できました） あと、和室の電気が白色LED電球のみでかなり薄暗く、ここは早期に改善された方が良い思います。"

"Très beau séjour dans ce Ryokan recommandé par Michelin. Personnel super serviable, accueillant et au devant de nos besoins, souriant, à l’aise en anglais. Onsen et bain public disponibles Excellent petit déjeuner, au choix: végétarien avec beaucoup de fruits, asiatique très bon ou western. Le western était ordinaire. "Staff were the best. Absolutely treated the guests like royalty. The suite was fantastic with the open air onsen and wooden bath. The toilet was worth mentioning... Fully automatic. The dinner was above and beyond and so much food we could barely eat it all. So fantastic! Breakfast was the best there is. Only bad thing is we couldn't eat the 2nd morning because we had to catch a train and the breakfast is not until 7am. All else was superior. Nice store across the street with great deals 500 yen for big pack of face masks. The gift shop was fully stocked with all the souvenirs and gifts you could want. I absolutely will return to this town and this hotel. Side note don quijote is still being built so double check before you make the walk. "

"We have enjoyed very much our stay. The room is huge. There is a two in one washer and dryer in the room, very convenient. The complimentary drinks in the fridge are refillable every day with beer, coke, green tea, and sake. There is free access to hot spring at another hotel 10 mins walk away. "
