Perfectly located in town for sightseeing as it is right next to the train station and bus terminal! There’s restaurants and grocery store near by to buy food and cook! Also love the washer/dryee, it’s so convenient to have one in the room (family apartment) and very quiet when it runs!

The people on reception were great and the rooms were cleaned brilliantly but we didn’t realise it has more of a back packers vibe than that of a hotel - only saying as if you are expecting five star hotel it’s not that BUT the room we had was very good and had washing machine so great but just want to manage expectations but the staff were great and only 2 days so not too upset but no coffee making machine if that’s what your vibe is

We loved this hotel. It is super spacious(family of 5), amenities were amazing and it is located next door to the bus station. Less than 15 mins from the old Village. They even includes free drinks. I will stay here again when I visit Takayama.

A nice and clean room with kitchen facility and washing machine is excellent. The location is good and close to JR and scenic spots nearby. If there is a cover for the cooking pan will be excellent.

Very close to the station and easy access to the bus station. It’s also easily walkable to the downtown and stores. Room is clean, and it has a washer and dryer. I just hoped the rooms connected to each other or could accommodate more than 2 people per room since there’s plenty of space in the bed. This way we won’t feel so disconnected and distant to our kids traveling with us.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Hakone! The villa was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable for our family. We loved the traditional Japanese design combined with modern amenities, and everything we needed was provided. The location was peaceful and made it easy to relax after exploring Hakone. It was also convenient for getting around and visiting the local attractions. We especially appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. The hosts provided clear instructions, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. This stay gave us an authentic Japanese experience while still feeling like home. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Japan and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and memorable place to stay in Hakone. It’s like having an apartment for yourself, that’s why it’s called residence i think. Big room , have all the amenities as described, even a washing machine inside! I thought it will be in common areas, the fridge is a good size , not the usual mini one, i like the layout, plenty of storage, Takayama station is just 2-3 mns walk, it’s walkable to other attractions(5-15 mns) & plenty of restaurants or shops . Just the tv , no English channels as with other Japanese hotels.I felt safe & really happy w/ this hotel, i thought it’s old but was surprised it’s quite new , modern & spacious, For the price i got it’s really a gem.
