Amazingly appointed, even down to the sauna in the bathroom. A very quiet location. Woolworths was across the road for essentials. Next time we are in the area will definitely be staying here. A real hidden gem.

Maureen and Raj were so kind and well looked after us. The unit was impeccable and we even had a sauna in ours!! Worth the money and if we’re ever back in Georgetown that’s where you’ll find is

Spotless, friendly and great location.
Raj and Maureen went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. They gave us plenty of information about the facilities within the apartment and surrounding restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The location was directly across the road from a Woolworths and a 450m walk to the George Town parkrun which we did on Sat morning. The apartment had everything you could possibly need including a washing machine and dryer. We would definitely recommend this property and most definitely stay again.

Sweet convenient hotel in the centre of Georgetown
This is a very nice little Hotel in the centre of Georgetown. It’s across the road from a supermarket . It has a nice ares including a sitting room and a kitchen with a full size fridge, stove and microwave . The owners are lovely and go out of their way to make sure you know how everything works in the unit.

Stay at Charles Robbie for the vineyard tour
We enjoyed the very welcoming and warmest hospitality stay here. We got a spacious suite, if you come to Tasmania for a vineyard tour in the north, definitely come and stay a night in George Town here. We visited 2-3 cellar doors first, stayed at Charles Robbin for a night and visited another 3-4 vineyard in the next day. Great location, just 15-20 mins drive to the vineyard and Hillwood for strawberries pick. 1 minute walking to the supermarket, we brought some stuff and cook at the suite and drink the wine we bought from the vineyards. The room is spacious, full cooking set, washing machine, and surprisingly there is a sauna in the bathroom. I will highly recommend this accommodation for everyone come to the vineyard tour in north of Tasmania.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Bed was extremely comfortable. The only disappointing feature was because it was straight after Christmas, making contact with reception was difficult. In the end I left the key in the foyer because they did not answer the doorbell. Everything else very happy with. I'' avoid Christmas if I come again.

As a woman travelling on my own I felt safe and Maureen and Raj were very welcoming. The room was very clean and warm and had everything you could need for a short or longer term stay. I'd definitely stay here again.

Everything you could want....
This room has it all! Lovely comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and secure parking. Property is well located to walk around the lake and the town centre. Maureen and Raj are wonderful.

By George it was great in Georgetown.
We had a very warm welcome and was shown a very extensive and detailed description of the room. We were pleasantly surprised with the cosiness of the room and the comfort of the bed.Our stay was pleasant and we were left to our privacy although we had pleasant interaction with the owners.Overall very relaxing stay.

Charming Suite & Welcoming Hosts
We thoroughly enjoyed retreating to our well-appointed suite full of beautiful objects between tourist activities. The warmth of Raj and Maureen made us feel at home and their local knowledge led us to a glorious secret beach that we would never have found on our own. Highly recommend.

A very comfortable home away from home with many extras and just across the street from the conference that I was attending. It's in the centre of historic George Town and a scenic walking path goes past the property . I appreciated the free internet, soft drinks, real coffee and fresh milk, not to mention the sauna. The owner/mangers were welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive.

Disappointed by the lack of view. Unit at back of house made it feel confined. So many security cameras made us feel we were being watched. Staff were OTT with demo unit features. Too much light pollution for good night sleep.

The facilities in the honeymoon suite Tom Thumb room were fantastic with couple jacuzzi , leather recliners, full range kitchenette etc It's just opposite Woolworths so easy to buy groceries Maureen and Raj were very welcoming too

Total luxury without the high price tag
Our luxurious, fully self contained one-bedroom apartment was so much better than we had expected. I was only sorry that our itinerary included just one night in George Town, because The Charles Robbins had everything anyone could possibly want for a comfortable few days. As well as being within easy walking distance of a fine hotel, it is also well located for experiencing what the north-east of Tasmania has to offer, including the great food and wine of the Tamar Valley.

The motel has a convienent under cover car park for a medium car with in a gated compound. The room is self contained with all the extras and cooking gear you will need for your stay and the bonus is woolies is just over the road.

We highly recommend travellers to stay at the Charles Robbins Appartments. The Charles Robbins was the pick of our 7 days in Tasmania. Raj and Maureen made us feel very welcome and the apartment was stylishly appointed. Great value for money. We enjoyed our stay so much we are planning our next adventure using the Charle Robbins as our base.

Perfect apartment

What a surprise, this accomodation is impeccable and loaded with high quality appliances and fittings and we didn't have the best room. The bathroom even had a sauna! Hosts Raj and Maureen were delightful going to extreem lengths to ensure our stay was memorable. Raj is an absolute gentleman and a pleasure to meet. Thank you for a perfect stay.

I would highly recomend the Chares Robbins.
We stayed two nights. The room was excellent. Very clean and nicely decorated. Everything worked well. Raj sowed us how to operate all of the systems including the sauna, which we did not use but it looked nice. There was wine and beer available for purchase at very reasonable prices. The same price as a bottle shop not marked up like the big hotel chains do. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked in both nights.

Restful Hotel near the water
Wonderfully well appointed hotel - Raj and Maureen have thought of everything. Located within walking distance of the main street and all of its facilities or access the waterfront walking track immediately in front of the unit. The unit is fully self contained - you can cook or wander to a number of different cafes, hotels and supermarket. A must, is a walk along the waterfront pathway so don't forget your walking shoes.

Hidden treasure in George Town
The Charles Robbins was a happy surprise to me and a friend. It exceeded beyond our expectations. The lounge room is spacious with two super comfortable reclining chairs, the kitchen is fully equipped ( even a half dozen spices!), the bedroom has a Queen and a single beds, the bathroom has a spa and shower. Everything you need is there to be used and are good quality and new. We felt we were at home. If you are staying in George Town, just go to The Charles Robbins.

My favourite place for respite and quiet luxury.
Lovely soothing walk along the promenade close by, significant little museum about Bass Strait close by. Town is flat, easy to ride around on a motor scooter, or if mobility is a bit challenged. Short walk to the beautiful tapestries in the foyer of the Town Hall. Counter meals at the pub OK;Or just stay at your accommodation and relax - have a spa, sit in the garden with some wine and book and watch the boats go by. Its just a peaceful safe little haven!
