"I really enjoyed my stay at LLoyd's on the River. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The staff was easy to work with and even stayed up to accommodate my late arrival. Check in and check out was very easy. The room was quite and was in a beautiful location beside a wonderful trout stream. I plan to go back next year. Perfect for a fishing trip to the NC mountains."

A nice bonus is that some rooms have a riverside view, which adds a bit of charm. You can even fish by the banks or sit by the firepit to relax. Overall its a good pick if you care more about price and cleaniness than modern amenities."

"My stay was fine, even if the price was a little high for the value. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The location was good, with easy access to restaurants and GSMNP. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully manicured. My only complaint was with the included breakfast. It was not served until 8:00, and the only items served were breads/pastries, cereals, hard boiled eggs, and drinks. No hot entrees, no fresh fruit, no yogurt, and certainly nothing to fortify you for a hike on the nearby trails. And it was all served on Styrofoam with plastic utensils; there was no recycling or composting in evidence. I would not stay here again."
