The Rosewood does not stand out good or bad in terms of the rooms, but the location is outstanding. Within 5 minutes you can walk to Mountain Layers Brewery and 10 min to Nantahala Brewery. Plus all of the other restaurants are between 5-10 min walk, which is great. It allowed me to drink a couple more beers than normal and walk back to the hotel. The room was small but I found no issues. The rooms and facilities are older, so high-maintenance humans or anyone who demands luxury would not be impressed. Although it was not fancy, our room was extremely clean and our king-size bed very comfortable. The manager (whose name is "A.P." according to the business card at the front desk) was extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. The inn is within a few minutes' walk to downtown Bryson City. This hotel is very old, but it is clean and close to town. My husband's family stayed here 50+ years ago when it was Meyers Tourist Court. The little porches on the 4 rooms in the back out over the river are from bygone days. It was memorable for my husband, which made it special. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is a little small, but for one night it was fine. The water pressure was impressive. This hotel had fantastic service. The owner was super nice and very helpful, he greeted me with "when you stay here you are not a customer, you are a guest in my home." This trip was full of crazy incidents but the hotel owner was very kind and helpful when the incidents occurred.
