this was a wonderful hotel to stay. The food was great. The view was great. The beach was great. the staff were great. I didn't have a car and wanted to tour Tikal and Flores. this was a problem. I needed to hire a a car to get to Tikal. The car waited for me for the day, which was not cheap. It is about an hour to Tikal. I wanted to go to Flores at a time that was different from the 3 scheduled bus trips to the airport. (If you took the scheduled bus trip it was $10-$14). But the time...

Small but clean room. It had hot water, good internet and there is a lot to do around the hotel. My room was the closest to the front desk so it could get a bit noisy at times but no noise really after 2100. It was less than a 5 minute walk from the shuttle that took me to Tikal and back to San Ignacio. I told the staff that I was catching an early shuttle for the sunrise at Tikal and they had a small lunch ready for me when I left the hotel that morning! I would like to visit Flores a little...

Title: Starlink, comfortable beds and right on the lake I booked my first nights here on Expedia and ended up staying four. Bahía Taitzá is a small independent hotel on the north shore of Lake Petén Itzá, across from Flores.
