The hotel is walking distance from the main train station (about 10 mins). It's a very safe area close to the river and in the middle of the best shopping in the city. Nestled between Fendi and Celine and overlooking Prada, Gucci, and Burberry...it's a shoppers dream. You can walk to everything from the hotel and there's amazing restaurants around. Beautiful spacious room ,ours had 2 storeys , overlooking the Piazza and a cathedral , very quiet, crisp white bedding, Very comfortable bed, spotless bathroom with bidet:)perfect location, walking distance to all venues and restaurants, superb breakfast buffet (included) Very professional and helpful front desk, A haven to come back to after a long walking day in overcrowded narrow streets , restaurants and museums in Florence .

Superb hotel with available, attentive staff. A beautiful common room with tea and coffee always available. A full European and English breakfast with enough to satisfy any appetite. The only negative is the night noise from the busy square nearby. If possible, request a room away from the square.

We stayed in three hotels during our trip to Italy. By far this was the best hotel! It was a bit tricky to find at first because the name sign is so small, but once inside we were blown away by the quality of the rooms, the breakfast, and the amazing service. We were very impressed with Il Malaspina. It was a great location away from crowds. But very close to exceptional restaurants and the train station. The room was comfortable and spacious and the shower felt like a trip to the spa (I almost jumped in for a second shower one day). Breakfast offerings were also exceptional, and especially for those of us with dietary restrictions. The front desk was also very friendly and helpful. No question that I would rebook. Restaurant for breakfast and dinner, amenities and staff was excellent. Very clean including the pool area. Only issue was that the gym didn’t open until 9am.

A beautiful hotel with staff that go our of their way to be helpful. The hotel was so clean and the breakfast each morning was incredible!!! The roof top terrance had delicious wine and snacks and a gorgeous view. The location couldn't be anymore perfect.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 night when were in Florence for our honeymoon. Hotel is about a 4-7 minute walk from the train station. We arrived on the night train from Venice and was greeted by the lovely gentleman working the night shift at the front door.
