Our first time in Florence, we didn't know what to expect. The description of the Hotel on-line seemed too good to be true; but it turned out even better than we'd hoped.
We were greeted warmly by the staff when we first walked into the beautiful lobby. Check-in was a breeze, and we were amazed at the appearance of the room.
The free breakfast on offer was a great variety of hot and cold options, very good cappuccinos.
We have only minor quibbles really: There was some evidence that the final details of the refurbishing were rushed (e.g. gaps in caulking, bathroom doorknob came off at one point). Batteries in the TV remote were spent.
All issues were promptly addressed by the staff.
We got excellent guidance on how to get around, what to see, what to eat from the staff. They always seemed genuinely pleased to see and interact with us.
Stayed in this wonderful hotel for my 60th birthday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A complementary drink was included on arrival together with a bottle of champagne on my birthday. This delightful hotel is within walking distance of all attractions and on the bank of the Arno river. Could not fault anything and will definitely return. We have fallen in love with this hotel and Florence.

The 4 star Hotel Degli Orafi dates back to the 13th century. It was built as an Augustinian convent and the interior still …More
Good hotel, near by all places to visit in florence, well decorated, and great staff! But.. could do a better maintainance to its infraestructure. There are minor things that need to get fixed. Sinks, air extractors etc..
It is in the middle of Florence and within a few minutes of the major sites. The staff is extremely helpful. The room was up to date and clean. Breakfast was fine if you are a meat eater, but I am vegan so the choices were more limited. Almond or soy milk would be a simple improvement.
Had a great stay here. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast is decent and the rooms are so cute! The stairs are a great way to work off the delicious Italian food and the staff helps with luggage.
I stay here for 3 nights from the 29th Nov for my other half's birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Central location with sights and multiple restaurants around and so close to the central train station with express trains to other core cities across the country.
The staff are wonderful, so helpful and happy plus in my booking in has specifically asked if I could get a certain room number within my range and to my delight I got just that.
My boyfriend was so happy and we will definitely come again!
Thank you :)
The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, or Duomo for short, is one of Italy’s largest churches, and tops the list of places to visit in Florence. The impressive Gothic architecture features an ornate exterior, stained glass windows, and a cavernous interior. Two popes are buried here, and three of the buildings are on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
