"We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn on Downs Drive in Erie, PA, and overall had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and well maintained. We had an accessible room with a king bed, and it was spacious, comfortable, and very easy to maneuver in. The bathroom was also spacious and nicely designed. The staff were consistently polite, pleasant, and willing to help. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a disconnect between the willingness to help and actually getting things done. There was no microwave in the room. We were told this was related to the brand's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and that a few microwaves were available upon request. We requested one, but it never arrived, nor were we told it was unavailable. We had to take our food to the lobby to use the shared microwave, which inconveniences someone requesting an accessible room precisely because of certain disabilities. We also requested an extra pillow, additional towels, and replenishment of the empty body soap dispenser in the shower. Each request was received courteously, but none was fulfilled. Individually, these were minor inconveniences. The concern was the pattern, the repeated lack of follow-through. Apart from this, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would like to return but hesitate to do so. If the follow-through matched the friendliness of the staff and quality of the property, this would be a very good place to stay in Erie."

"We’ve stayed here many times and love it! The view of the bay and sunset are amazing. The restaurant on site is great, we had crab hush puppies that were delicious! There are also a handful of restaurants within walking distance that are also great with a beautiful view. The infinity pool is small, but an amazing way to relax after check in. The rooms are large with a beautiful view of the bay."

"Everything we needed was on the property and we did not have to leave to enjoy a fabulous dinner, an evening of live music and drinks. It was an absolutely beautiful view. The staff was had great customer service. They were kind and informative."

"We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again. The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was perfect for us. It’s close to the casino and there’s also a bar within walking distance, which was really convenient. I honestly don’t understand some of the rough reviews this place has. We had absolutely no issues during our stay and were very happy with everything. Clean, comfortable, convenient, and exactly what we needed for the weekend. I would definitely recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."
