"Overall, the hotel feels new, although the elevator is vintage and slow. Our room was clean, and just a bit snug. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom ample and we appreciate the large amount of vanity counter space. The room and bath are well furnished with amenities. The location is excellent. We would book there again. "

"The room was very clean. It took me a night to figure out your HVAC system. Internet connection was excellent. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast next door (separate charge) very good. I would have liked something other than whole wheat or sour dough bread, but hey, it’s California! Charming to watch the finch aviary/sanctuary . Felt very safe. No elevator, so if you have any issues with luggage, ask for a 1st floor. Staff were professional, polite and courteous."

"The staff is excellent, especially the lady working yesterday when we checked in about 3:30pm. The room was clean; there needs to be small dishes for opened soap (have suggested this before); we were upgraded to a suite (extra room woth 2 beds); our king bed was very firm & uncomfortable. Weve stayed here several times & have not had this firm of a mattress."

"General manger was very responsive to all questions and issues. Regular employees were ok, but not as good as property manager. They no longer do full Continental breakfast, just croissants, yogurt and fruit, so that was a bit disappointing."
