Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. The 2 bedroom Pond Cabin sits in the heart of Vallecito. The property is perfect to relax and enjoy the cool mountains with your family. The cabin is fully furnished and stocked with all kitchen supplies for cooking, linens, and paper products (paper towels, trash bags, tp, kleenex).

The cabin has a great front porch to relax and enjoy your favorite beverage or enjoy the firepit or hot tub in the evening under the big starry sky. The pond is stocked with trout and there is a creek on the property too.

Vallecito is a great location to enjoy all types of mountain activities including Horseback riding, fishing, ATV rentals, restaurants, live music, and hiking. Durango is only 40 min drive.

This was perfect for our time between camping locations. The cabin was pleasant and the pond with boats gave my kids a chance to play outside while taking a break from our more adventurous camping locations. Sean was a fantastic host and we were sad to leave.

Cabin has everything you need- nothing like a nice kitchen for a home made meal, a good clean shower, and a comfy bed- after spending several days in the mountains. Hot tub was a great perk for sore muscles! Shawn was very helpful with directions and some notes on how to be set up well upon your arrival. They also have beautiful trout in the pond that they provide food to feed them with, my wife and I loved going out in the mornings and dinner time to do that!!

What a beautiful piece of property! Quiet, peaceful, surrounded by giant trees, the pond and river nearby and gorgeous NATURE! We really enjoyed feeding the pond trout a couple of times a day. Cute little clean cabin that is comfortable and has pretty views from every window. The hot tub was so nice each night-- perfect way to end each day. Shawn was quick to help in any way to ensure that our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The neighborhood animals were a plus for us. Lucy is a sweetheart :)

This is a charming little cabin with updated amenities. Shawn and Sarah are attentive to guests needs, providing a very comfy bed, precut firewood for campfires, barbecue grill, fish food for the stocked pond, etc. We went up for the Father's Day weekend, fished in the creek, paddled the canoes on the pond, fed the fish, relaxed in the hottub and by the campfire and never left the property! If I had to give a negative, I would prefer the cabin was a little more secluded, but that's just me:)

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We loved feeding the fish in the little pond, as well as making a small fire in the firepit each night to enjoy some time out under the stars. The king size bed was very comfortable and we had all the utensils and cookware needed to make a nice meal there as well. The hot tub on the deck was very nice as well! Water pressure left a little to be desired, but that's to be expected when your water source is a well. Outside of that, we had no complaints. This cabin is perfect for the couple (or family) who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some quiet time together. Thanks Shawn for a great couple of days of peace and quiet!

Nice, clean cabin and a great setting, but has a few problems that we feel should be addressed. There is no TV service there is no Wi-Fi service. There is no microwave. There is a stocked trout pond that you cannot fish in and there is no exhaust on the propane stove oven in the kitchen

Before check in the owner gave a detailed list about the property and what to expect. Everything was just like described. Easy check in. This property was above and beyond expectations. There was so much to do if you were just going to stay and hang out at the cabin. From relaxing in the hot tub to canoeing/paddle boarding, swimming, feeding the fish, hanging out by the camp fire, a variety of books to read, games and more this property was amazing and just minutes from the lake to go fishing and multiple spots to go hiking. I would rent this property again!

We had a very nice quiet getaway at this cabin. It's an older place but was very clean. It had very basic amenities which was OK but we could have used a few things like a sponge to clean the pots and pans after cooking. The fireplace was not working or available. This would have been really nice to have but not a deal breaker. The bedrooms were cold and difficult to heat. There was an extra blanket that was really warm so that helped but the room stayed cold. Now for the good stuff. Shawn was very helpful and nice. He was there and offered to help with whatever we needed. The pond was beautiful. We had a great time feeding the fish and taking the canoe out around the pond. The lake is a couple of minutes away. The water was low but we still caught several trout and had a great day. The river is close by and walking by it and hearing it was nice. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. This is a great little place for a romantic getaway. Thanks again!!
