Downtown Calgary Vacation Packages

We travelled as family (2senior citizen and 1 4 y.o). The place was perfect for our group and our needs. The only thing that I noticed and where they can improve was the cleanliness. The place was clean and tidy but it was not “really clean” like the trash bin still has a bad smell and stain on the lid. But overall it was a very good stay and location. With amazing view! We will still consider Lodges at Canmore on our future travels.

Although a little away from the main sites, the extra drive was so worth it! To stay in such a quiet place with breathtaking views to wake up/fall asleep to - just wonderful for traveling or as home base. We can’t wait to come back!

The property is an ild building but kept in decent shape for its purpose. I booked a 6 bed room and only 3 of us, so it wasn’t several people in/out all evening. The only downside to this property, has to do with the name ‘Party’ as there is a lively bar on the main floor. I had earplugs but could feel the base in my room and some loud voices even with the window closed. Typically that would annoy me, but I was quite tired and the music did eventually stop. Location is excellent, right in the heart of Canmore town centre, Linens were clean and bed was comfortable enough for 1 night. Staff at reception was welcoming and friendly.

He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged the flies were an issue, but she said she can’t fix the issue as she doesn’t know where they are coming in from. When we told the owner the toaster didn’t work, she assured me that it did. She said the problem was that the plug was broken, which supplied the electricity to the toaster. (Sorry for criticizing the toaster!) Guest bathroom towels are dishtowels. Getting to the dock is perilous. It’s accessed down a long exterior staircase. The railway ties that once made up the stairs have lifted and twisted over time to be become dozens of hazardous, raised tripping hazards. Getting down to the dock is not for the faint of heart. Once at the dock, access to the dock is gained by climbing over the first dock section that is covered in logs and branches, and has been distorted to a 45 degree angle, making climbing over it treacherous to say the least. There are a series of yurts and a trailer overlooking the property.
