"Efficient and kind staff at check-in, and the room was immaculate. What prompted me to post a review was our time at the pool. It was busy and plenty of kids were zipping around wildly while most parents were absorbed in their phones. I became concerned when a large group of teens went down the water slide together in a jumble. I didn’t want to intervene, but thought I might have to as I was genuinely concerned about the slide’s weight limits. Before the teens had reached the bottom of the slide, a staff member appeared to give them a polite but firm warning. I can’t imagine his job is easy, kids want to have fun and some parents react poorly when a stranger steps into their role! I later noticed the same staff member standing unobtrusively to one side watching the pool area. I appreciated his discernment in allowing the chaos but knowing when to draw the line."

"My room was very clean and comfortable. The staff graciously accommodated my request for a room on the top floor, which afforded me a pleasant view of the parliament building, and it was quiet. Downtown Winnipeg isn’t exactly the nicest part of the city, but if you need to be downtown, this hotel is centrally located. I was able to walk to everything I needed. "
