10/10 Excellent

"The rooms were exceptionally clean. Staff at front desk were very attentive. Drivers of shuttle were all courteous and helpful in the discharge of duties. Breakfast was always available in the time period they specified. On occasions, dependinging on who was working, some items were not replenished as quickly, but over all, there was plenty of food to go around. Air conditioning was excellent and kept the room at the appropriate temperature. About the only thing I think that was needed is an upgrade of charging ports in the rooms and TV is very basic. That apart everything was excellent."

"The staff on hand was friendly & efficient! The hotel is older but I feel it was styled well & noise proof & it was a comfortable. I can tell they’ve put some effort into maintaining the building. I think some things could have been a bit cleaner (our bedroom floor could have been mopped / dried beforehand - maybe it was dust on the dark floors but just didn’t look clean). The bathroom wall need wiped down due to condensation (no fan, window, ect). I wish the hotel had even one ice machine on the main floor to fill our water bottles."

"Beautiful old hotel right downtown close to everything, if you don't mind walking up/down hills. The Victorian gardens across the street was a nice spot for morning coffee. Citadel just down the street and less 20 minutes to the harbour. High quality linens and soaps were provided. Fancy nexpresso machine in the room. Tv said it was streaming capable, never tried. I WAS IN HALIFAX. :)"
