Longstreet Inn & Casino

10/10 Excellent
"The lake and the cement animals and people are iconic and slightly unsettling at night, and the giant fiberglass pig and cow in front a kick. The lake in back is so unexpected. The place is always spotless, but...the cleaning agents are really strong...air your room for an hour and it goes away. About my 10th stay there in August since 90's. Meals are relatively inexpensive. Not a haven for vegetarians."

"Just stopped on our way through town late at night. After hours check in was easy. Everything was clean and room had the essentials. I only gave it a four star because we could not figure out how to keep the air on for the entire night and had to continuously adjust."

Amargosa Opera House

Amargosa Opera House

8/10 Good
"This is a delightfully quirky place to stay. Staff were wonderful, informative and helpful. The original owner, sadly deceased, was definitely an eccentric. Those who manage the property today are keen to continue her vision. The property is rundown but that did not detract from the pleasure of being somewhere, at the end of our Death Valley drive, with a bit of character."
