Strike Three and you are out

Cons: Housekeeping staff needs to be more attentive, thorough and consistent.
OK, I'll take the hit for this one. I should have learned. On my last 2 stays, after very disappointing visits, I received e-mail replies from the manager indicating how sorry he was about my problems on the previous visit and how much they would like to have another opportunity to make things better. Well, I've had enough of your empty promises. This visit was no better. Again, when the housekeeping staff cleaned my room (when they actually did clean it), they removed the dirty towels, but did not replace them. Evidently, they were changing companies for their cable carrier, so only about half of the TV channels were available. The rooms are very out dated and the carpets need a good deep cleaning (or better yet a replacement).

The staff at the hotel was amazing. Richard, at the front desk, was so sweet and funny while checking us in. And the Lawrence ,maintenance staff, was amazing as well! We had a clog in the bathroom and he fixed it real quick. The only few things I would complain about is that the hotel elevator was broken during our stay but they allowed us to use the freight elevator. And that one of the night people at the front desk was rude when I was asking for more towels for my room. Seemed snooty and questioned me why I was needing more towels. But those two things won't prevent me from coming back since everything else was great during our stay

Poor Hotel Maintenance,

Upon arriving, they allowed be to check in earlier than usual which was great . However the tub was not draining water. As i used it the tub water covered my toes with the dirty backed up water from the drain. I told them about it in the evening , they advised someone would take a look at it. I left the hotel that evening to attend an event, and when I return the front desk did not even know if it was fixed or not. I went back in the room and tested it. The same thing. I then requested another room at this point. The second room was clean however the sink was clogged up and the water would not drain. I ended up with a full sink of water and the next morning when the water drained half way I call the front desk. The advised they would have someone service it. I left for the day and upon my return they addressed the issue. Besides that the 7 floor carpets were really dirty and could use a deep clean. I think the overall service was awful and very uncomfortable. I would not recommend and of my family and friends to this location.

Excellent first time in Dallas

Friendly staff who made sure everything was just right. Clean rooms. Quiet floors for those that needed it and the rowdy ones got their own corner. I would come back in a heart beat.

Thought this hotel would be nicer/cleaner

Location: Location is good, close to downtown and many restaurants
Having the Sheraton name, I thought this hotel would be nicer. Lobby looks nice and the employees were very friendly. However, once upstairs walking to the room, you can tell the hotel is old and outdated. The carpet looked dirty and I noticed many stains (large) on the floors. Once in my room, I will say it was somewhat spacious (nice) but again the carpet was dirty and stained. There was a large stain about the size of a basketball in the center of the room. There was another walking in by the front door. Behind the door in the bedroom there was a dirty wash cloth on the floor. Overall, I still think this hotel is OK at best. It is definitely overpriced and I just expected more from a Sheraton. I will say I ordered room service and the chicken caesar wrap was delicious (good job chef). The workout room was small and also very dirty. There was some type of liquid on the floor by the treadmills and the water cup container was empty. I am trying to be fair and overall this is an okay hotel but overpriced for the condition. The rooms and hallways definitely need a good cleaning. I would still recommend this hotel as long as you do not expect too much. However, I will look elsewhere next time. Best part is the staff was very friendly and the food was good. Also, the pool is very very small and also seemed dirty as so did the grounds outside by the pool. This place just needs to be cleaned and it would be okay. Definitely a 3 star hotel, nothing more.

The hotel and club level were nice. The vote needs updating. Maid service was fair. Staff on site during breakfast and evening on club level were excellent.

Stay was nice. The room was older...had an older smell but was clean. The people were very hospitable and nice. The refreshments offered in the lobby was nice.
