Secluded Cabin in the Heart of the Black Hills
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed 3 nights in this cabin and loved it! It was stocked with all the kitchen supplies we needed to be able to grill dinner outside each night and cook breakfast inside each morning. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. I was skeptical that the cabin would be as secluded as the listing said, especially since there is another cabin on the property. The other cabin was vacant the entire time we were there, but even if it hadn’t been, the cabins are arranged in such a manner that you wouldn’t be able to see anyone from the porch. We would definitely stay here again!!"
Secluded, Rustic Log Cabin located in the Heart of the Black Hills near Custer
10/10 Excellent
"Our family of five fit perfectly in this charming little cabin. Lots of wilderness for us to explore, but still close to most of the items on our must see list. The kids loved the deer that would come up close to the cabin in the late evenings and early mornings and sit outside and watch them. Mary and James were wonderful hosts, checking on us when we arrived making sure all our questions were answered. We will be coming back!"
Beautiful Countryside with Forest Service Border. Next to Custer State Park
10/10 Excellent
"House was clean, and well designed for families to share time together. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was large enough to cook for family of eight. Blackstone grill on deck was clean and easy to use. The fire pit was a big hit with the kids. We ate s'mores even when it was raining! We were supplied with enough paper towels and toilet paper for our week. The livestock and wildlife on the property provided constant entertainment. The stream was just fast moving enough to be a little thrilling, but safe to play in! Location was great because it is close to the town of Custer, and remote enough for kids to run and play without bothering neighbors! I would highly recommend this property for families and friends that want to explore Mount Rushmore and the surrounding area"
Remote Custer Cabin w/ Fire Pit & Near State Park!
10/10 Excellent
"My wife and i came up from Kansas for a little get away . We were so lucky to find this spot. I can't imagine that a better place to stay in the Black Hills exist. This cabin is just perfect. It's tucked back in a private valley with no neighbors. Surrounded by state forest land. Woke up to deer and turkey outside or window every morning. Very peaceful and quiet. Cabin is extremely clean and well stocked with everything you may need. We had a wonderful time. We only saw the owners 1 time and that was on our last evening. Which is a shame because they are the nicest people you'll ever meet. If you're coming to the Black Hills make sure this is the spot you choose. You will not be disappointed!! "
Big Horn Lodge - Rare Cabin Bordering Custer State Park - Absolute Seclusion and Serenity
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at Big Horn Lodge! It was quiet, secluded with an abundance of stars, while at the same time provided easy access to all the things we wanted to do in the Black Hills! The best of both worlds! The house was well equipped with lots of room for everyone to be together comfortably. The hosts were attentive and responsive. We are grateful to have found such a gem! Thank you!"
